What is Tinker Tuesday, and Why We Highlight it
Share
We wanted to pick a day a week that wasn’t spa related, a bit of a behind the scenes to our lives. With being a business sometimes it is easy to forget the people behind it. There were clients annoyed that I wasn’t responding at certain times of the night, which I was sleeping. I used to get really upset when people were mad at me, always expecting better of myself. But I have a weird brain that needs to understand why people are the way that they are or why they say the things that they do.
I have concluded that maybe it wasn’t from a place of kindness perhaps it was just not knowing. People only understand from their perspective. Some bigger businesses can employ services to answer clients, we unfortunately are not, its just me. If you are not getting my automated social media response, then it’s me you are talking to.
Tanner is a huge part of Pampered Aesthetics and I think that it’s important to highlight, as not everyone is so fortunate. He builds the things, makes the videos lately helping put together the content. He also fixes all the things that I accidently break. This time around the sun he is building Pampered Aesthetics in its entirety.
We are also parents too, on top of our 9 to 5’s we run the spa, but we also have two goblins, whom we are trying to raise. We are anything but traditional parents, trying to raise them in a screen free environment, with real whole foods. We out a huge priority on family, including them, teaching them, raising them to think outside of the box.
We thought the sneak peeks might also be interesting to our regular customers. Seeing the posts and then the actual changes If we are going to be honest, I also read an article online stating the behind-the-scenes posts tend to perform better, with being a business performance and reach is huge. You want people to notice you and reaching new eyeballs to hopefully translate into new clients is the dream.
We absolutely love what we do, we love sharing but at the end of the day we are a business looking to be successful Having the ability to go down to one job has always been the dream, at least for me.
It might be an age thing; old Jess loved the hustle and bustle. I loved living downtown and shopping daily. This version of me is so excited to get home on a little homestead. This was one of reasons behind a homebased business, that and I don’t actually drive. I’ve gotten around the most of my life by walking. Where we are located there isn’t the ability to walk anywhere that wouldn’t take me the day. And that’s okay we are building a life that I want to be fully present for.
