THE JOURNEY OF A BIG DREAMER

THE JOURNEY OF A BIG DREAMER

THE JOURNEY OF A BIG DREAMER

Little Miss Pampered began when I was just 10 years old. What started as a simple, fun activity (aka making bracelets for my dad's Father’s Day gift) then I quickly “hey, people get paid for this”. So i decided to start a little business. I didn't take it super seriously though. I mainly sold to family and friends every once in a blue moon.
But when I turned 14, I started to take it more seriously. I realized that if I wanted to do more with my jewelry, I would need to step up my game. So, I started selling at local markets with my mum, reaching out to store owners, and working to get my products out there. It was at this point that I really began to understand what it meant to run a business, even on a small scale. I wasn’t just making jewelry anymore, I was learning about marketing, managing sales, and figuring out what people actually wanted.
One of the biggest milestones came when I was offered the opportunity to sell outside of a store in Warkworth (the Village Pantry, Thank you Raquilda) . I have been able to sell in two local stores. It felt like a huge achievement, and it was a reminder that all the hard work was paying off. But honestly, none of it would have happened without the support I’ve received from my mom and my community. My mom has been with me every step of the way—helping me with the business side of things, encouraging me when I was unsure, and celebrating the small wins with me. She has been my rock through this entire journey.
By the summer of 2023, I had made a big decision. I had always dreamed of owning a horse, but it always felt like one of those distant goals that might never happen. After everything my family had been through, I decided that I wanted to start saving my money to purchase a horse.
Now, here’s the best part: I did it! I got the horse! It feels surreal to say that I’ve actually achieved one of my biggest dreams at just 15 years old. After months of hard work, dedication I was granted my biggest opportunity to date. I'm a big believer in putting things out to the universe. And I made signs telling people my goals, I even posted it on social media. A family friend reached out to my mom, as she was selling her horse. My mom gently explained how little I had actually saved ( hey im selling bracelets) Ironically it was my 15 th birthday and the best birthday present came from a stranger to me. Unknown to me just yet. Dad and Mom have always told me when I could buy the horse they'd pay for the fencing and shelter. Joke is on them when I was given the horse. The thing about my parents is they don't lie. And they had to make this happen fast. Dad took two weeks off work and him and my brother fenced it all in for me!
None of this seemed real until we picked my sisters up really early in the morning coffee in hand and set out on an adventure. We picked up Osiris. He  is not just a horse—but  a symbol. A symbol of resilience, hard work, and the fact that dreams can come true if you’re willing to put in the effort. Not just mine but everybody's effort . Osiris might have been just a silly childhood dream as some like to call it, but now he's real and he's mine.
The people in my community have also played a huge part in my success. From buying my jewelry to sharing my posts and spreading the word, making sure I dont need anything when the weather decides to be moody, and just overall being so kind and welcoming  their support has been incredible. It’s not just about making sales; it’s about the connections I've made with people who truly believe in what I’m doing. That kind of support has helped me keep going and reminded me that I’m not in this alone.
Looking back on how far Little Miss Pampered has come, I’m proud of the progress Its made, but I also know there’s so much more to learn and do. I’m excited about the future and about continuing to grow, not just as a business, but as a person. There are still new designs to create, new skills to learn, and new ways to connect with people. But one thing I know for sure is that none of this would have been possible without the help and encouragement I've received.
Osiris has happened why am I still selling bracelets you might ask? Well he's a fat bottom boy and while he makes my world go round he consumes a lot of food. While I can't tell you I pay for his food myself. I paid for his hay bill while he's in training and that is a huge accomplishment for me. I try and help out where I can so I know I that I did. Im very proud of this fact.
As I look back on everything I’ve accomplished with Little Miss Pampered, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. But I’m also incredibly excited for what’s to come. I’m not stopping here. My horse is just the beginning, and Little Miss Pampered will continue to grow.
I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. Whether it’s expanding my business, learning more about horses, or creating even more designs, I’m excited to keep chasing my entrepreneurial dreams, as much as many adults might not understand that (insert you need to go to college, you need to get a good job working for someone else comments here *eyeroll*).
Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Whether it’s been through buying a bracelet, sharing my posts, or just encouraging me, your support has meant the world to me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.
