The Concert Every Woman Entrepreneur Should Be Talking About
There are blog posts about skincare. There are blog posts about self-care. There are blog posts about supporting local businesses.
And then there are moments when all three collide.
June 11 at Victoria Hall in Cobourg is one of those moments.
As the owner of Pampered Aesthetics, I spend most of my time talking about confidence, wellness, personal growth, and creating a life that feels authentic. Sometimes that looks like a hydrodermabrasion facial. Sometimes it looks like rebuilding a business. And sometimes it looks like buying a ticket to support a woman who is unapologetically chasing a dream.
That woman is Nickola Magnolia.
If you've spent any time around entrepreneurs, you know there are people who talk about doing things and people who actually do them
. Nickola is one of the doers. She owns and operates her tattoo studio while simultaneously carving out a place for herself in an industry that is notoriously difficult to break into. Music is competitive. Music is demanding. Music is still largely male-dominated.
Yet somehow she has managed to build momentum through pure grit, relentless work ethic, and a voice that stops conversations.
And now she's releasing her newest album, Bad Woman, live at Victoria Hall Theatre Cobourg.
This isn't a coffee-house open mic.
This isn't someone testing the waters.
This is a full album release.
A project that has required years of sacrifice, writing, performing, travelling, networking, and believing in herself when it would have been easier not to.
One of the things I have loved most about watching this event come together is seeing the lineup of women-owned businesses rally around it.
In a world where people often talk about supporting women in business, this event is actually doing it. Local female entrepreneurs have stepped up to sponsor the show, create experiences around it, and help make it something bigger than a concert.
Guests can enjoy:
• A pre-show dinner experience at Cucina's
• Nickola Magnolia's full-band album release performance
• An exclusive after-party at Taps & Corks
• Access to a community of entrepreneurs, artists, creators, and supporters
The after-party is reserved exclusively for ticket holders, creating a full evening experience rather than simply attending a show and heading home. And honestly? That's the kind of community-building our region needs more of.
The $2,000 Prize Package Is Wild
As if the concert itself wasn't enough, attendees purchasing five tickets or more will be entered into a draw for a prize package valued at over $2,000.
Pampered Aesthetics proudly contributed:
Skincare Starter Pack
Enhancement Pack
A Microdermabrasion Facial
In other words, everything someone needs to begin their skincare journey with us. And that's only our contribution.
There are incredible offerings from the other sponsoring businesses as well, making this one of the most exciting local giveaway packages we've seen in a long time.
People often ask what inspires me.
The answer is usually not another spa.
It's people.
People who build something from nothing.
People who refuse to quit.
People who decide that being different is a strength instead of a weakness.
That's why Tanner and I are bringing the kids.
Because in a world that constantly tells people to play it safe, I want Landon and Paige to see what happens when someone bets on themselves
. I want them to see a woman building a business.
I want them to see a woman creating art.
I want them to see a woman standing on a stage because she decided her voice mattered.
Those are the role models I want in front of my children.
Not influencers.
Not celebrities.
Entrepreneurs.
The kind who build something with their own hands.
Here's my prediction.
Five years from now, when Nickola Magnolia is impossible to ignore, when her music is playing through car speakers, coffee shops, and radio stations, people will talk about this concert.
And some of them will say: "I remember when tickets were only thirty bucks."
Others will say: "I wish I had gone."
Don't be the second group.
At Pampered Aesthetics, we talk a lot about self-care. Sometimes self-care is a facial. Sometimes it's skincare. Sometimes it's taking care of your nervous system. And sometimes it's getting dressed up, grabbing your people, supporting local talent, and experiencing something unforgettable. Because wellness isn't just about how you look. It's about filling your life with experiences that remind you what's possible.
And on June 11, that's exactly what Victoria Hall will be doing.
If you're wondering where you'll find me Thursday night?
Front and center.
Cheering for my friend.
Supporting local women in business. And watching a dream become reality.
