Not Everyone Wants to See You Win—And That’s Okay

When I first stepped into entrepreneurship, I had a vision: of building something meaningful, something rooted in integrity, quality, and real results. I thought my biggest cheerleaders would be my friends and family—the people closest to me. The people who knew how hard I worked and how deeply I cared.
I thought they’d be first in line.
But I was wrong.
I wasn’t a celebrity. I wasn’t trending on TikTok. And my products weren’t sitting on the shelves of Sephora. I was just… me. A small-town woman with a dream, an apron full of formulas, and a commitment to helping people feel good in their skin.
And for some people, that just wasn’t enough.
Were my products better than what they could find in big box stores? Absolutely.
Do they deliver results? Without question.
Are they priced fairly? I’ve made sure of it.
Still, the silence from the people I expected to show up the loudest hurt. It took me a long time to move past that part—to process the sting of being overlooked, the quiet scroll past my posts, the polite nods without real support.
But here’s the thing no one tells you when you start a business:
Sometimes, your “people” aren’t your people.
And that’s okay.
Because as the dust settled, something beautiful began to grow—something real.
I started attracting clients who see me.
Clients who trust my recommendations.
Clients who show up for me the same way I show up for them.
They leave thoughtful Google reviews because they know how much it helps a small business.
They tag, share, refer, and root for me—genuinely.

This is who I built Pampered Aesthetics for.
Entrepreneurship isn’t for the faint of heart. It will shake your confidence, test your relationships, and push you into uncomfortable spaces you didn’t ask for.
But it will also show you your strength. It will introduce you to people who believe in your magic. And it will remind you that even if you have to build it alone—you’re still building something powerful.
To those who support small, who cheer loudly, who leave reviews, who show up for local creators with their dollars, words, and love—thank you.
You’re the reason we keep going.
