Link in Bio, Stress in Real Life: The Instagram Shop Struggle Is Real

If you’ve tried clicking through our Instagram store recently and ended up staring at a blank screen or the old link, welcome to the ongoing saga of “Why won’t this just work?”—a modern small business thriller starring yours truly and the long-suffering hero known as Mr. Pampered.

You’d think that copying and pasting a new website link into Instagram would be simple. Logical. Something that takes, I don’t know, two minutes?

Try 28 hours.

Twenty-eight hours of refreshing, Googling, deleting, crying (just me), and testing every troubleshooting suggestion this side of a Reddit rabbit hole.

When Technology Tests Your Inner Peace Let me set the scene. I’m mid-facial, soothing a client into a state of deep relaxation. Meanwhile, Mr. Pampered is camped out at the kitchen island with his laptop, a cup of strong coffee, and the kind of haunted expression typically reserved for people who’ve been stuck in an escape room for too long.

He has almost finished re-uploading every product to our new website—everything but five elusive listings. At this point, he’s visibly aged. A few more nights of this and he’ll be a silver fox purely from Instagram-induced stress.

Behind the Glam: Real Talk From a Home-Based Spa Owner

I know it might look polished and seamless on the outside. But when you’re a solo entrepreneur running your own spa out of your home, let me assure you—technology isn’t always your friend. And when Instagram, Shopify, and Facebook all decide to throw a tantrum at once? Forget it.

So here we are, lovingly hand-building every piece of the back-end, one headache at a time

. Coming Soon: The Facebook Store, and Then the Google One (Send Snacks)

Once the Instagram storefront behaves, we’ll be venturing into Facebook Shop and then onto Google Shopping. It’s our version of adventurous date nights:

Me yelling “WHY is it doing that?!”

Him saying “Let me try one more thing.”

Both of us wondering why tech support isn’t offered in couples therapy.

I’m sure there are moments he wishes there had been some kind of digital compatibility quiz before marrying a spa owner who breaks everything she touches that has a power button. Alas, no app for that.

Thank You for Bearing With Us We know you’re eager to explore our new site, stock up on your favorite skin care, and enjoy a seamless shopping experience. And we will get there.

Your patience means the world—and we promise it’ll be worth it. Smooth skin, soothing rituals, and a few good laughs courtesy of our very human tech struggle. Until then, if something’s not working, DM us directly, or better yet, visit pamperedaesthetics.com—we’re still very much open for business, even if the robots haven’t caught up.
